they were both there just yesterday....

Friday rolls around each week...

it's one of my FAVORITE days of the week...

for obvious reasons...

but also because...

there's always something in the air on Fridays...

an air of anticipation...

and last Friday did not disappoint...

Ayden ran in the door home from school...

and gave me some shocking news...

she had lost her front tooth at school!

WOW...

what a rite of passage...

the loss of your top front tooth is a pretty momentous occasion...

and i have to say...

i'm REALLY glad that it happened...

while she was at school...

first lost teeth are pretty traumatic for any mommy...

but thinking about watching her pulling her teeth out...

makes me almost pass out...

you may remember last year...

about this time exactly...

we lost the first one...

and then shortly thereafter...

we lost the second one...

like i said...

traumatic...

...

well this time...

it was so NOT traumatic for me...

that the Tooth Fairy actually FORGOT to come on Friday night...

oh the shame...

i had gotten up and left the house early on Sat...

before anyone was awake...

to get downtown to see the Cherry Blossoms peak...

and when she called...

and told me that the Tooth Fairy didn't visit...

i almost fell into the Tidal Basin...

luckily she quickly followed that up...

by letting me know...

that she pulled the second front tooth...

just that morning...

and that she wasn't mad at the Tooth Fairy...

because she figured the Tooth Fairy knew...

she was going to loose another tooth...

the very next day...

so Ayden figured...

she just wanted to make one trip instead of two...

PHEW...

boy was I saved...

and SO lucky that Ayden believes the Tooth Fairy to be so darn efficient...:)

and that I didn't even have to be there...

for either of the actual tooth losses...

And never fear... 

the Tooth Fairy did make it on Saturday night... 

and left this pretty cool note under Ayden's pillow...

which i thought was almost as cool as last year's gift...

that darn Tooth Fairy... 

is so nifty...
