out on the water...

here in DC..

we're pretty far from the beach...

yet we have a lovely body of water...

super close to us...

it's called the Potomac River...

and it's one of the biggest rivers I've ever seen...

you head over the bridge to get from Virginia to DC from where we live...

soooo...

last week...

we finally got the chance to get out on the water...

it was one of our last excursions while Keane, TJ and Ellis were in town...

so off we went... :)

for some reason, i neglected to get an actual photo of the boat..lol

so here's the website photo...

and the coolest thing about the day we went..

was that we were the only ones aboard!

which is good considering the kids ran around the entire boat...

the entire time...

we were all really excited to go...

Keane was ready...

Ayden was ready...

TJ and Ellis were ready...

then there were those of us that weren't so sure what to expect...

and those of us that just take a little longer to warm up :)

but either way...

within minutes we were off!

 and about two minutes into the ride...

my adorable nephew tried to escape...

luckily Keane's a good mama and always has an eye out!

and Micah started getting into it...

and we saw DC from a whole different perspective...

and we even tried to get the Gatewoods a family photo :)

i got a few of the cutest little boy i know...

and that was our day...

the weather couldn't have been better....

the company couldn't have been sweeter....
