Girls weekend..good times!

For the first time in 29 years...

it was time for the 3 of us to get away...

just my mom, my sister and i...

now this may not be entirely true...

I'm sure my mom dragged us girls somewhere by herself when we were little...

but i doubt she had as much fun as she did this past weekend...

doubt that i've ever laughed more in one weekend...

doubt that there will ever be two ladies that will know me THIS well...

and then come back for more...

so a quick thank you to my sister's best friend from high school, Vania, for creating the occasion for the weekend getaway...

the wedding was beautiful...

but the company...

the company could not be beat.

:)

after taking the red eye from Phoenix..

Keane and mom met me at the Atlanta airport...

after getting the bags..

and getting the car...

leaving the airport...

then shortly returning to the airport for a forgotten bag...

we were on our way to the hotel...

then to lunch...

a lunch which involved saki bombs...

picture the three of us...

at a fairly upscale restaurant...

ordering saki bombs...

the waiter admitted he had not seen the likes of us before...

and that kicked off our weekend...

great talks...

some about the boyz and little girls we left at home...

some about when we were little...

some about what we'll do in the future...

there's something about family...

you know they are NEVER going anywhere...

happy or pissy...

at the end of the day...

they know you're likable...

and you know they are too...

(that one's for you muff) :)

so as not to divulge too much about the weekend...

we DO want our husbands to let us do this again someday...

here are a few pics...

:)

Mom and Keane...

I love you...

thank you for a weekend i won't soon forget..

...

getting makeup ready for the rehearsal dinner..

it was like she was going to prom again...

good times :)

Pretty girl...

mom and i stayed behind and ordered room service:)

fast forward to the bride, Vania, on the morning of her big day...

i love weddings...

unfortunately, we couldn't see Keane's face during the wedding...

but she peeked under the shade umbrella right as i snapped this! :)

Vania was a gorgeous bride! :)

i snuck around to the other side to get a better look...

OK, i don't think i could have worn a dress that clashed MORE with my sister...

luckily, as always, mom stepped in to save the day...
