kickin off summer!!!!

welp...

it's finally here...

Memorial Day weekend marks...

the beginning of SUMMER!

wooo hooooo!

now this is what i'm talking about...

the sweat running down your back...

flushed checks...

the only relief is the cool pool! :)

i'm so happy it's here!

we have big plans this summer...

big plans...

all summer...

we can be found...

 exactly 5 minutes from our house...

at the pool!!!

we have dubbed this year....

the year of "no traveling"...

so everyone's coming to us!

LOVE IT!

Ok, ok, back to the weekend...

summer rolled in in grand style...

we had a GREAT Memorial Day weekend!

we started with a visit to our local Memorial Day festival...

it had a pretty small town feel, which was awesome...

carnival/festival with a parade!

we got SweetE all ready...

gosh i love this kid... 

he was a trooper the whole time...

even with all of the heat... :)

Ahdee and her friends got to partake in some festival fun...

this was the "sand necklace" making booth...

then there was the bounce/inflatable land...

or as i like to call it "expensive" land...

and still SweetE smiled!

Ahdee got to ride a horse!

or a pony i guess...

at the end of our visit to the festival, the baby was finally tuckered out...

so we went home to get ready to BBQ...

Bean was waiting for us...

she had stayed home to nap with daddy...

but she was sure awake when we got home!

we got the party started with a Memorial Day staple...

and good friends and good food was all that 

was needed to complete the PERFECT summer kick off!

SweetE even had a place a the table!

we're ready for the summer adventures to begin!! :)
