muffin's a comin'...

officially 5 days till my sis arrives and the fun begins...

i'm so excited for my girlies to meet their new cousin..

sweet, sweet 'SweetE'

i got the chance to see him back in March...

can't wait to see how much he's grown!!

this was in March...

he loved his Auntie Shan...

AND he's a BOY...

you may think, "duh, obviously..."

but you don't know..

how SURPRISED we were to get a boy in this family....

Laughlin has 3 nieces...

we have 2 girls...

i have a sister...

we (I) were expecting a girl...

what fun we'll have...

with this sweet baby boy.. :)

OH...

and she's bringing Rocboy...

(his name of choice, not mine..lol)

he's pretty cool too...

but he's mostly Laughlin's friend...

at least, i think...

 Rocboy likes Laughlin more than me...

but i'm glad he's coming anyway...

but i have a little secret...

i am MOST thrilled...

that Muffin's coming...

my bestest friend...

and i'll share a bit of WHY....

she's mostly always game for my antics...

except when she's not..

and then i just have to convince her...

she's my FAVORITE person to convince...

things like...

~ let me take close up pictures of just your eye with my new camera...

~ it'll be FUN to walk from the Luxor to Caesars Palace...

~ move to California and live with me, it'll be EASY to find a job here...

~  come on, you really DO like karaoke...

and there are 100's more...

oh, but this is my favorite...

~  you should have a baby of your own, you're totally ready...

(although, she may have come up with that one on her own..)

but she loves me... 

and she keeps coming back for more...

case, in point...

she's visitng me for two whole weeks!

i requested the entire summer...

 but was DENIED by Rocboy who selfishly would like to see his son grow up...

...whatever...

so i've been brainstorming things for us to do while she's here...

and there's the standard DC stuff...

but then there's the stuff...

that raises the fun factor...

just a bit...

and this time it's about buying Fedoras...

(of course my idea, not hers...)

so while she's here, we're going to get...

matching Fedoras...

so we can sport them all summer...

especially in our bathing suits...

you've seen them right?

 

super cute...

i've already scouted out locations...

to buy our hats...

and Muffin has already agreed...

to be part of (yet another) ridiculous idea i have...

but it'll be fun!

and most of all...

 memorable...

(don't worry i'll take pictures...)

and in case your days seem a little drab next week...

(especially starting, say, Wednesday)

it may just be...

because she and i are having ALL of the fun...
