berries and cherries and friends :)

last week we took an adventure out to an orchard in Maryland...

that's right.. 

i'm a big girl and i drive across state lines on a regular basis..

lol...

it helps that you can leave VA in about 15 minutes from our house...

it was pretty cool...

in about 40ish minutes...

we were transported to the "country".

we drove down a "sleepy hollow" type road...

we met some very cool friends...

here's Ayden and Nolan...

Nolan's little sister is always the highlight of the girls' day...

how can you not love the "edible" baby Eden...

and when everyone arrived, we were off to the strawberry field!

Immediately Micah started shoving every strawberry directly into her mouth...

it was like HEAVEN for her... :)

Ayden got busy and had her bucket full in no time..

then it was back to the car to get the kids fed and watered :)

next we headed out to the cherry tree orchards!

this was certainly more my speed...

i love cherries!

and it was way easy picking them :)

the kids loved it!

then we found a nice spot and had a little picnic!

it was such a lovely day in the Maryland countryside!

and we got some pretty great berries and cherries too!

quite an experience to remember! :)
